14 (A)I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and if he (B)sin, I will chasten him with the [a]rod of men, and with the plagues of the children of men.
15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul whom I have put away before thee.
16 And thine house shall be established and thy kingdom forever before thee, even thy throne shall be [b]established forever.

New International Version
14 I will be his father, and he will be my son.(A) When he does wrong, I will punish him(B) with a rod(C) wielded by men, with floggings inflicted by human hands. 15 But my love will never be taken away from him,(D) as I took it away from Saul,(E) whom I removed from before you. 16 Your house and your kingdom will endure forever before me[a]; your throne(F) will be established(G) forever.(H)’”
