13 (A)He shall build an house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.
14 (B)I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and if he (C)sin, I will chasten him with the [a]rod of men, and with the plagues of the children of men.
15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul whom I have put away before thee.

13 He is the one who will build a house(A) for my Name,(B) and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.(C) 14 I will be his father, and he will be my son.(D) When he does wrong, I will punish him(E) with a rod(F) wielded by men, with floggings inflicted by human hands. 15 But my love will never be taken away from him,(G) as I took it away from Saul,(H) whom I removed from before you.
