15 And Ishbosheth sent, and took her from her husband (A)Paltiel the son of Laish.
16 And her husband went with her, and came weeping behind her, unto Bahurim: then said Abner unto him, Go, and return. So he returned.
17 ¶ And Abner had [a]communication with the Elders of Israel, saying, Ye fought for David in times past, that he might be your King.

15 So Ish-Bosheth gave orders and had her taken away from her husband(A) Paltiel(B) son of Laish. 16 Her husband, however, went with her, weeping behind her all the way to Bahurim.(C) Then Abner said to him, “Go back home!” So he went back.
17 Abner conferred with the elders(D) of Israel and said, “For some time you have wanted to make David your king.
