25 But the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city; if I shall find grace in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me again and show me both it and his tabernacle.

26 But if he should say, I have no delight in thee; behold, here I am, let him do to me as seems good unto him.

27 The king said also unto Zadok, the priest, Art not thou a seer? Return into the city in peace and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz, thy son, and Jonathan, the son of Abiathar.

25 Then the king said to Zadok, “Take the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the Lord’s eyes, he will bring me back and let me see it and his dwelling place(A) again. 26 But if he says, ‘I am not pleased with you,’ then I am ready; let him do to me whatever seems good to him.(B)

27 The king also said to Zadok the priest, “Do you understand?(C) Go back to the city with my blessing. Take your son Ahimaaz with you, and also Abiathar’s son Jonathan.(D) You and Abiathar return with your two sons.
