¹¹ “This is what the Lord says,^(A) ‘I am going to bring disaster on you from your own family: I will take your wives and give them to another^[a] before your very eyes, and he will sleep with them in broad daylight.^[b]

⁹ For this is what the Lord of Armies, the God of Israel, says: I am about to eliminate from this place, before your very eyes and in your time, the sound of joy and gladness, the voice of the groom and the bride.^(A)

⁴ for this is what the Lord says, ‘I am about to make you a terror to both yourself and those you love.^(A) They will fall by the sword of their enemies before your very eyes.^(B) I will hand Judah over to the king of Babylon, and he will deport them to Babylon and put them to the sword.

²¹ This is what the Lord of Armies, the God of Israel, says about Ahab son of Kolaiah and concerning Zedekiah son of Maaseiah, the ones prophesying a lie to you in my name:^(A) “I am about to hand them over to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, and he will kill them before your very eyes.
