2 Peter 3:5-7

5 For in holding to this idea, it escapes their notice that the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God. [a] 6 Through these, the world of that time was destroyed by being flooded with water. [b] 7 But by the same word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire—kept until the Day of Judgment and the destruction of ungodly people.[c]

5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word(A) the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water.(B) 6 By these waters also the world of that time(C) was deluged and destroyed.(D) 7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire,(E) being kept for the day of judgment(F) and destruction of the ungodly.
