13 The king[a] ordered, “Go, find out where he is, so I can send some men to capture him.”[b] The king was told, “He is in Dothan.” 14 So he sent horses and chariots there, along with a good-sized army.[c] They arrived during the night and surrounded the city.

15 The prophet’s[d] attendant got up early in the morning. When he went outside there was an army surrounding the city, along with horses and chariots. He said to Elisha,[e] “Oh no, my master! What will we do?”

15 When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked.
