⁷They killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes. Then they put out his eyes, bound him with bronze shackles and took him to Babylon.^(A)

⁷Then they killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, ^(A)put^[a] out the eyes of Zedekiah, bound him with bronze fetters, and took him to Babylon.

²And on the ninth day of the fourth^(A) month of Zedekiah’s eleventh year, the city wall^(B) was broken through.^(C)
