Gedaliah Made Governor of Judah^(A)

²² Then he made Gedaliah the son of ^(B)Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, governor over ^(C)the people who remained in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left.

¹⁰ Then Ishmael carried away captive all the ^(A)rest of the people who were in Mizpah, ^(B)the king’s daughters and all the people who remained in Mizpah, ^(C)whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had committed to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam. And Ishmael the son of Nethaniah carried them away captive and departed to go over to ^(D)the Ammonites.
