And he did uprightly in the sight of the Lord, and [a]walked in all the ways of David his father, and bowed neither to the right hand, nor to the left.

¶ And in the eighteenth year of King Josiah, the king sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah the son of Meshullam the chancellor, to the house of the Lord, saying,

Go up to Hilkiah the high Priest, that he may [b]sum the silver which is brought into the house of the Lord, which the keepers of the [c][d]door have gathered of the people.

He said: “Go up to Hilkiah(D) the high priest and have him get ready the money that has been brought into the temple of the Lord, which the doorkeepers have collected(E) from the people.
