22 he abandoned the Lord, the God of his ancestors, and did not walk in the way of the Lord.(A) 23 The servants of Amon conspired against him and killed the king in his house.(B) 24 But the people of the land killed all those who had conspired against King Amon, and the people of the land made his son Josiah king in place of him.

23 Amon’s officials conspired against him and assassinated(C) the king in his palace. 24 Then the people of the land killed(D) all who had plotted against King Amon, and they made Josiah(E) his son king in his place.
