2 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, according to the abominations of the heathen whom the Lord cast out before the children of Israel.
3 For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal and made an Asherah pole, as did Ahab king of Israel, and worshiped all the host of heaven and served them.
4 And he built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord said, “In Jerusalem will I put My name.”

New International Version
2 He did evil(A) in the eyes of the Lord, following the detestable practices(B) of the nations the Lord had driven out before the Israelites. 3 He rebuilt the high places(C) his father Hezekiah had destroyed; he also erected altars to Baal(D) and made an Asherah pole,(E) as Ahab king of Israel had done. He bowed down to all the starry hosts(F) and worshiped them. 4 He built altars(G) in the temple of the Lord, of which the Lord had said, “In Jerusalem I will put my Name.”(H)
