2 Kings 21:2-4
Amplified Bible
2 He did [great] evil in the sight of the Lord, in accordance with the [idolatrous] repulsive acts of the [pagan] nations whom the Lord dispossessed before the sons (descendants) of Israel. 3 For he rebuilt the high places [for the worship of pagan gods] which his father Hezekiah had destroyed; and he set up altars for Baal and made an [image of] Asherah, just as Ahab king of Israel had done, and he worshiped all the [starry] host of heaven and served them. 4 And he built [pagan] altars in the house (temple) of the Lord, of which the Lord had said, “In Jerusalem I will put My [a]Name (Presence).”
