^15 (A)They also rejected His statutes and ^(B)His covenant which He cut with their fathers and His warnings with which He warned them. And ^(C)they followed vanity and ^(D)became vain, and went after the nations which surrounded them, concerning which ^(E)Yahweh had commanded them not to do like them. ¹⁶ And they forsook all the commandments of Yahweh their God and made for themselves molten images, even ^(F)two calves, and ^(G)made an ^[a]Asherah and ^(H)worshiped all the host of heaven and ^(I)served Baal. ¹⁷ Then ^(J)they made their sons and their daughters pass through the fire, and ^(K)practiced divination and omens, and ^(L)sold themselves to do what is evil in the sight of Yahweh, provoking Him to anger.

⁶ and ^(A)do not walk after other gods to ^[a]serve them and to ^[b]worship them, and do not provoke Me to anger with the work of your hands, and I will bring no evil against you.’ ⁷ Yet you have not listened to Me,” declares Yahweh, “in order that you might ^(B)provoke Me to anger with the work of your hands to your own evil demise.

^3 (A)because of their evil which they did so as to ^(B)provoke Me to anger by continuing to ^(C)burn incense and to ^(D)serve other gods whom they had not known, neither they, you, nor your fathers.

^21 (A)You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and ^(B)the table of demons. ²² Or do we ^(C)provoke the ^[a]Lord to jealousy? Are we ^(D)stronger than He?
