27 He saved them by the hand of Jeroboam, the son of Joash, for the Lord had not said that he would blot out the name of Israel from under the heavens.

28 As for the other deeds of Jeroboam, what he did, his achievements, how he fought and recovered Damascus and Hamath for Israel which had previously belonged to Judah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

29 Jeroboam slept with his fathers, with the kings of Israel, and Zechariah his son, reigned in his stead.

28 As for the other events of Jeroboam’s reign, all he did, and his military achievements, including how he recovered for Israel both Damascus(C) and Hamath,(D) which had belonged to Judah, are they not written in the book of the annals(E) of the kings of Israel? 29 Jeroboam rested with his ancestors, the kings of Israel. And Zechariah his son succeeded him as king.
