24 When King Hazael of Syria died, his son Ben-hadad became king in his place. 25 Then Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz took back from Hazael’s son Ben-hadad the cities he had taken in war from his father Jehoahaz. Three times Joash won in battle against him and took back the cities of Israel.

24 Hazael king of Aram died, and Ben-Hadad(A) his son succeeded him as king. 25 Then Jehoash son of Jehoahaz recaptured from Ben-Hadad son of Hazael the towns he had taken in battle from his father Jehoahaz. Three times(B) Jehoash defeated him, and so he recovered(C) the Israelite towns.
