20 The rest of the acts of Joash, with all that he did, are recorded in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah. 21 Certain of his officials[a] entered into a conspiracy and struck Joash down at Beth-millo.

20 His officials(A) conspired against him and assassinated(B) him at Beth Millo,(C) on the road down to Silla. 21 The officials who murdered him were Jozabad son of Shimeath and Jehozabad son of Shomer. He died and was buried with his ancestors in the City of David. And Amaziah his son succeeded him as king.
