20 Joash’s servants conspired against him and killed him(A) at Beth-millo(B) on the road that goes down to Silla. 21 His servants Jozabad[a] son of Shimeath and Jehozabad son of Shomer struck him down, and he died.(C) Then they buried him with his fathers in the city of David, and his son Amaziah became king in his place.(D)

20 His officials(A) conspired against him and assassinated(B) him at Beth Millo,(C) on the road down to Silla. 21 The officials who murdered him were Jozabad son of Shimeath and Jehozabad son of Shomer. He died and was buried with his ancestors in the City of David. And Amaziah his son succeeded him as king.
