31 But Jehu was not careful to follow the law of the Lord the God of Israel with all his heart; he did not turn from the sins of Jeroboam that he caused Israel to commit.(A)

32 In those days the Lord began to trim off parts of Israel. Hazael defeated them throughout the territory of Israel:(B) 33 from the Jordan eastward, all the land of Gilead, the Gadites, the Reubenites, and the Manassites, from Aroer, which is by the Wadi Arnon, that is, Gilead and Bashan.

31 Yet Jehu was not careful(A) to keep the law of the Lord, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He did not turn away from the sins(B) of Jeroboam, which he had caused Israel to commit.
32 In those days the Lord began to reduce(C) the size of Israel. Hazael(D) overpowered the Israelites throughout their territory 33 east of the Jordan in all the land of Gilead (the region of Gad, Reuben and Manasseh), from Aroer(E) by the Arnon(F) Gorge through Gilead to Bashan.
