31 But Jehu [a](A)was not careful to walk in the law of Yahweh, the God of Israel, with all his heart; (B)he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam, which he made Israel sin.
32 In those days (C)Yahweh began to cut off portions [b]from Israel; and (D)Hazael struck them throughout the territory of Israel: 33 from the Jordan to the east toward the sunrise, all the land of Gilead, the Gadites and the Reubenites and the Manassites, from (E)Aroer, which is by the valley of the Arnon, even (F)Gilead and Bashan.

31 Yet Jehu was not careful(A) to keep the law of the Lord, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He did not turn away from the sins(B) of Jeroboam, which he had caused Israel to commit.
32 In those days the Lord began to reduce(C) the size of Israel. Hazael(D) overpowered the Israelites throughout their territory 33 east of the Jordan in all the land of Gilead (the region of Gad, Reuben and Manasseh), from Aroer(E) by the Arnon(F) Gorge through Gilead to Bashan.
