5 Awo Mukama Katonda n’agamba Musa nti, 6 (A)“Leeta ab’omu kika kya Leevi[a] obakwase Alooni kabona bamuweerezenga. 7 (B)Banaamukoleranga emirimu era ne baweereza n’ekibiina kyonna awali Eweema ya Mukama ey’Okukuŋŋaanirangamu, nga bakola emirimu awali Eweema ya Mukama. 8 Banaalabiriranga ebintu byonna eby’omu Weema ya Mukama ey’Okukuŋŋaanirangamu, ne bakola emirimu gy’omu Weema ya Mukama nga batuukiriza ebyo byonna ebivunaanyizibwa abaana ba Isirayiri. 9 (C)Abaleevi onoobawanga eri Alooni ne batabani be; baweereddwa ddala Alooni nga baggyibwa mu baana ba Isirayiri. 10 (D)Onoolonda Alooni ne batabani be okubeera bakabona; naye bwe wanaabangawo omuntu omulala yenna n’asembera awatukuvu, anaafanga.”
11 Mukama Katonda n’ayongera okugamba Musa nti, 12 (E)“Laba, neetwalidde Abaleevi nga mbaggya mu baana ba Isirayiri mu kifo ky’abaana ababereberye abazaalibwa abakazi mu baana ba Isirayiri. Abaleevi banaabanga bange, 13 (F)kubanga byonna ebizaalibwa ebibereberye byange. Bwe natta ebibereberye byonna mu nsi y’e Misiri neeyawulira ebibereberye byonna mu Isirayiri okubeeranga ebyange, abantu n’ebisolo. Nze Mukama Katonda.”
14 Awo Mukama Katonda n’agamba Musa mu ddungu ly’e Sinaayi nti, 15 (G)“Bala Abaleevi bonna mu mpya zaabwe ne mu bika byabwe[b]. Bala buli mwana mulenzi ow’omwezi ogumu n’okusingawo.” 16 Bw’atyo Musa n’ababala nga Mukama Katonda bwe yamulagira, ng’ekigambo kya Mukama bwe kyali.
17 (H)Gano ge mannya ga batabani ba Leevi:
Gerusoni, ne Kokasi, ne Merali.
18 (I)Gano ge mannya g’abatabani ba Gerusoni ng’empya zaabwe bwe zaali:
Libuni ne Simeeyi.
19 (J)Bano be batabani ba Kokasi ng’empya zaabwe bwe zaali:
Amulaamu, ne Izukali ne Kebbulooni, ne Wuziyeeri.
20 (K)Bano be batabani ba Merali ng’empya zaabwe bwe zaali:
Makuli ne Musi.
Ebyo bye bika by’Abaleevi ng’empya za bakitaabwe bwe zaali.

23 Ab’omu Gerusoni nga baakusiisiranga ku ludda olw’ebugwanjuba emmanju wa Weema ya Mukama.
24 Omukulembeze w’empya za Abagerusoni yali Eriyasaafu mutabani wa Laeri.
25 (M)Abagerusoni be banaabanga n’obuvunaanyizibwa obw’okulabirira Eweema ya Mukama ey’Okukuŋŋaanirangamu, nga balabirira ebigibikkako n’eggigi ery’omu mulyango oguyingira mu Weema, 26 (N)n’entimbe ez’omu luggya, n’entimbe ez’omu mizigo egiggulira ku luggya okwebungulula Weema n’ekyoto. Era banaalabiriranga n’emiguwa awamu n’ebintu byonna ebinaakozesebwanga ku mirimu egyo.
27 (O)Mu Kokasi mwe mwava oluggya lwa Abamulaamu, n’oluggya lwa Abayizukaali, n’oluggya lwa Abakebbulooni, n’oluggya lwa Abawuziyeeri; ezo z’empya za Abakokasi.
28 Abaana aboobulenzi okuva ku w’omwezi ogumu ogw’obukulu n’okusingawo abaabalibwa baali kanaana mu lukaaga[c] (8,600).
Abakokasi be baweebwa obuvunaanyizibwa okulabiriranga awatukuvu.
29 (P)Ab’omu Kokasi nga baakusiisiranga ku ludda olw’obukiikaddyo obwa Weema ya Mukama.
30 Omukulembeze w’empya za Abakokasi yali Erizafani mutabani wa Wuziyeeri.
31 (Q)Abakokasi be baabanga n’obuvunaanyizibwa okulabirira Essanduuko ey’Endagaano, n’emmeeza, n’ekikondo ky’ettaala, n’ebyoto, n’ebintu eby’omu watukuvu ebikozesebwa mu kuweereza, n’eggigi; n’emirimu gyonna egyekuusa ku buweereza obwo.
32 Eriyazaali mutabani wa Alooni kabona ye yalondebwa okuba omukulu w’abakulembeze ba Abaleevi, era n’okulabirira abo abaaweerezanga mu watukuvu.
33 (R)Mu Merali mwe mwava oluggya lwa Abamakuli n’oluggya lwa Abamusi; ezo nga ze mpya za Abamerali.
34 Abaana aboobulenzi okuva ku w’omwezi ogumu n’okusingawo abaabalibwa baali kakaaga mu ebikumi bibiri (6,200).
35 (S)Omukulembeze w’empya za Abamerali yali Zuliyeeri mutabani wa Abikayiri;
Abamerali nga baakusiisiranga ku bukiikaddyo obwa Weema ya Mukama.
36 (T)Be baavunaanyizibwanga emikiikiro, n’empagi, n’ebikondo, n’ebikwata ku Weema ya Mukama byonna n’ebyekuusa ku mirimu gyayo. 37 Okwo baagattangako empagi zonna ezeebunguludde oluggya n’entobo zaazo, n’enkondo za Weema n’emiguwa.

5 The Lord said to Moses, 6 “Bring the tribe of Levi(A) and present them to Aaron the priest to assist him.(B) 7 They are to perform duties for him and for the whole community(C) at the tent of meeting by doing the work(D) of the tabernacle. 8 They are to take care of all the furnishings of the tent of meeting, fulfilling the obligations of the Israelites by doing the work of the tabernacle. 9 Give the Levites to Aaron and his sons;(E) they are the Israelites who are to be given wholly to him.[a] 10 Appoint Aaron(F) and his sons to serve as priests;(G) anyone else who approaches the sanctuary is to be put to death.”(H)
11 The Lord also said to Moses, 12 “I have taken the Levites(I) from among the Israelites in place of the first male offspring(J) of every Israelite woman. The Levites are mine,(K) 13 for all the firstborn are mine.(L) When I struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, I set apart for myself every firstborn in Israel, whether human or animal. They are to be mine. I am the Lord.”(M)
14 The Lord said to Moses in the Desert of Sinai,(N) 15 “Count(O) the Levites by their families and clans. Count every male a month old or more.”(P) 16 So Moses counted them, as he was commanded by the word of the Lord.
17 These were the names of the sons of Levi:(Q)
Gershon,(R) Kohath(S) and Merari.(T)
18 These were the names of the Gershonite clans:
Libni and Shimei.(U)
19 The Kohathite clans:
Amram, Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel.(V)
20 The Merarite clans:(W)
Mahli and Mushi.(X)
These were the Levite clans, according to their families.
21 To Gershon(Y) belonged the clans of the Libnites and Shimeites;(Z) these were the Gershonite clans. 22 The number of all the males a month old or more who were counted was 7,500. 23 The Gershonite clans were to camp on the west, behind the tabernacle.(AA) 24 The leader of the families of the Gershonites was Eliasaph son of Lael. 25 At the tent of meeting the Gershonites were responsible for the care of the tabernacle(AB) and tent, its coverings,(AC) the curtain at the entrance(AD) to the tent of meeting,(AE) 26 the curtains of the courtyard(AF), the curtain at the entrance to the courtyard surrounding the tabernacle and altar,(AG) and the ropes(AH)—and everything(AI) related to their use.
27 To Kohath(AJ) belonged the clans of the Amramites, Izharites, Hebronites and Uzzielites;(AK) these were the Kohathite(AL) clans. 28 The number of all the males a month old or more(AM) was 8,600.[b] The Kohathites were responsible(AN) for the care of the sanctuary.(AO) 29 The Kohathite clans were to camp on the south side(AP) of the tabernacle. 30 The leader of the families of the Kohathite clans was Elizaphan(AQ) son of Uzziel. 31 They were responsible for the care of the ark,(AR) the table,(AS) the lampstand,(AT) the altars,(AU) the articles(AV) of the sanctuary used in ministering, the curtain,(AW) and everything related to their use.(AX) 32 The chief leader of the Levites was Eleazar(AY) son of Aaron, the priest. He was appointed over those who were responsible(AZ) for the care of the sanctuary.(BA)
33 To Merari belonged the clans of the Mahlites and the Mushites;(BB) these were the Merarite clans.(BC) 34 The number of all the males a month old or more(BD) who were counted was 6,200. 35 The leader of the families of the Merarite clans was Zuriel son of Abihail; they were to camp on the north side of the tabernacle.(BE) 36 The Merarites were appointed(BF) to take care of the frames of the tabernacle,(BG) its crossbars,(BH) posts,(BI) bases, all its equipment, and everything related to their use,(BJ) 37 as well as the posts of the surrounding courtyard(BK) with their bases, tent pegs(BL) and ropes.

12 These divisions of the gatekeepers, through their leaders, had duties for ministering(A) in the temple of the Lord, just as their relatives had. 13 Lots(B) were cast for each gate, according to their families, young and old alike.
14 The lot for the East Gate(C) fell to Shelemiah.[a] Then lots were cast for his son Zechariah,(D) a wise counselor, and the lot for the North Gate fell to him. 15 The lot for the South Gate fell to Obed-Edom,(E) and the lot for the storehouse fell to his sons. 16 The lots for the West Gate and the Shalleketh Gate on the upper road fell to Shuppim and Hosah.
Guard was alongside of guard: 17 There were six Levites a day on the east, four a day on the north, four a day on the south and two at a time at the storehouse. 18 As for the court[b] to the west, there were four at the road and two at the court[c] itself.
19 These were the divisions of the gatekeepers who were descendants of Korah and Merari.(F)
