⁸ Finally^[a] brothers and sisters, whatever is true,^(A) whatever is honorable,^(B) whatever is just,^(C) whatever is pure,^(D) whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any moral excellence^(E) and if there is anything praiseworthy—dwell on these things.

¹² Conduct^(A) yourselves honorably among the Gentiles,^[a] so that when they slander you as evildoers, they will observe your good works and will glorify God on the day he visits.^(B)
