¹³ I had no rest^(A) in my spirit because I did not find my brother Titus,^(B) but I said good-bye to them and left for Macedonia.^(C)

⁶ But God, who comforts the humble,^(A) comforted us by the arrival of Titus,

¹³ For this reason we have been comforted.

In addition to our comfort, we rejoiced even more over the joy Titus^(A) had,^[a] because his spirit was refreshed by all of you. ¹⁴ For if I have made any boast to him about you, I have not been embarrassed; but as I have spoken everything to you in truth,^(B) so our boasting to Titus has also turned out to be the truth.

⁶ So we urged Titus that just as he had begun, so he should also complete this grace to you.

Administration of the Collection

¹⁶ Thanks be to God who put the same concern for you into the heart of Titus.

²³ As for Titus, he is my partner^(A) and coworker^(B) serving you; as for our brothers, they are the messengers^(C) of the churches, the glory of Christ.^(D)

¹⁸ I urged Titus^(A) to come, and I sent the brother with him. Did Titus take advantage of you? Didn’t we walk in the same spirit^(B) and in the same footsteps?

2 Then after 14 years I went up again^(A) to Jerusalem with Barnabas,^(B) taking Titus^(C) along also.

³ But not even Titus who was with me, though he was a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised.
