5 and every proud pretension against the knowledge of God, and we compel every thought to surrender in obedience to Christ. 6 What is more, once your obedience is complete, we are prepared to punish every disobedience.
7 [a]Face the facts squarely. If anyone is confident that he belongs to Christ, he should reflect on the fact that we belong to Christ as much as he does.

- 2 Corinthians 10:7 Paul makes use of Jeremiah’s description of the purpose of the prophetic power given him by God (see Jer 1:9-10; 12:16f; 24:6). The Apostle’s intention is to build up, not to tear down.

New International Version
5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God,(A) and we take captive every thought to make it obedient(B) to Christ. 6 And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.(C)
7 You are judging by appearances.[a](D) If anyone is confident that they belong to Christ,(E) they should consider again that we belong to Christ just as much as they do.(F)
