2 Corinthians 1:4-6
Modern English Version
4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble by the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 5 As the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ. 6 If we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effective in enduring the same sufferings which we also suffer. Or if we are comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.

New International Version
4 who comforts us(A) in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 5 For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ,(B) so also our comfort abounds through Christ. 6 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation;(C) if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer.
