The religious leaders could not go into the house of the Lord because it was filled with the Lord’s shining-greatness. All the people of Israel saw the fire come down and the shining-greatness of the Lord upon the house. So they bowed their faces to the ground and worshiped. They gave thanks to the Lord, saying, “He is good. For His loving-kindness lasts forever.”

The priests could not enter(A) the temple of the Lord because the glory(B) of the Lord filled it. When all the Israelites saw the fire coming down and the glory of the Lord above the temple, they knelt on the pavement with their faces to the ground, and they worshiped and gave thanks to the Lord, saying,

“He is good;
    his love endures forever.”(C)

Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the Lord.
