15 You have kept Your promises to Your servant David my father. Yes, You have spoken with Your mouth, and have done all You said You would do, as it is today. 16 So now, O Lord, God of Israel, keep Your promise which You made to Your servant David my father, saying, ‘You will never be without a man to sit on the throne of Israel. But your sons must be careful to walk in My Law, as you have done.’ 17 So now, O Lord, God of Israel, let Your Word be made sure which You have spoken to Your servant David.

16 “Now, Lord, the God of Israel, keep for your servant David my father the promises you made to him when you said, ‘You shall never fail(B) to have a successor to sit before me on the throne of Israel, if only your descendants are careful in all they do to walk before me according to my law,(C) as you have done.’ 17 And now, Lord, the God of Israel, let your word that you promised your servant David come true.
