Huram made a pool from cast metal. It was 15 feet in diameter. It was round, 7½ feet high, and had a circumference of 45 feet. Under the rim were two rows of figurines shaped like bulls all around the 45-foot circumference of the pool. They were cast in metal when the pool was cast. The pool was set on 12 metal bulls. Three bulls faced north, three faced west, three faced south, and three faced east. The pool was set on them, and their hindquarters were toward the center of the pool.

He made the Sea(A) of cast metal, circular in shape, measuring ten cubits from rim to rim and five cubits[a] high. It took a line of thirty cubits[b] to measure around it. Below the rim, figures of bulls encircled it—ten to a cubit.[c] The bulls were cast in two rows in one piece with the Sea.

The Sea stood on twelve bulls, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south and three facing east.(B) The Sea rested on top of them, and their hindquarters were toward the center.
