Manasseh Reigns over Judah

33 (A)Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem. (B)And he did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh, according to the abominations of the nations whom Yahweh dispossessed before the sons of Israel. Indeed, (C)he rebuilt the high places which Hezekiah his father had torn down; and (D)he erected altars for the Baals and made [a]Asherim, and worshiped all the host of heaven and served them.

33 Manasseh(C) was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-five years. He did evil in the eyes of the Lord,(D) following the detestable(E) practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before the Israelites. He rebuilt the high places his father Hezekiah had demolished; he also erected altars to the Baals and made Asherah poles.(F) He bowed down(G) to all the starry hosts and worshiped them.
