And he set captains of war over the people, and assembled them to him in the broad place of the gate of the city, and [a]spake comfortably unto them, saying,

Be strong and courageous: fear not, neither be afraid for the king of Assyria, neither for all the multitude that is with him: (A)for there be more with us, then is with him.

With him is an [b]arm of flesh, but with us is the [c]Lord our God for to help us, and to fight our battles. Then the people were confirmed by the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.
