2 Chronicles 32:3-5
World English Bible
3 he took counsel with his princes and his mighty men to stop the waters of the springs which were outside of the city, and they helped him. 4 So, many people gathered together and they stopped all the springs and the brook that flowed through the middle of the land, saying, “Why should the kings of Assyria come, and find abundant water?”
5 He took courage, built up all the wall that was broken down, and raised it up to the towers, with the other wall outside, and strengthened Millo in David’s city, and made weapons and shields in abundance.

2 Chronicles 32:3-5
New International Version
3 he consulted with his officials and military staff about blocking off the water from the springs outside the city, and they helped him. 4 They gathered a large group of people who blocked all the springs(A) and the stream that flowed through the land. “Why should the kings[a] of Assyria come and find plenty of water?” they said. 5 Then he worked hard repairing all the broken sections of the wall(B) and building towers on it. He built another wall outside that one and reinforced the terraces[b](C) of the City of David. He also made large numbers of weapons(D) and shields.
