2 Chronicles 32:3-5
English Standard Version
3 he planned with his officers and his mighty men to stop the water of the springs that were outside the city; and they helped him. 4 A great many people were gathered, and they stopped all the springs and (A)the brook that flowed through the land, saying, “Why should the kings of Assyria come and find much water?” 5 He set to work resolutely and built up (B)all the wall that was broken down and raised towers upon it,[a] and outside it he built another wall, and he strengthened the (C)Millo in the city of David. He also made weapons and shields in abundance.

2 Chronicles 32:3-5
New International Version
3 he consulted with his officials and military staff about blocking off the water from the springs outside the city, and they helped him. 4 They gathered a large group of people who blocked all the springs(A) and the stream that flowed through the land. “Why should the kings[a] of Assyria come and find plenty of water?” they said. 5 Then he worked hard repairing all the broken sections of the wall(B) and building towers on it. He built another wall outside that one and reinforced the terraces[b](C) of the City of David. He also made large numbers of weapons(D) and shields.
