He sacrificed also and burnt incense in the high places, and on hills, and under every green tree.

Wherefore the Lord his God delivered him into the hand of the king of the Aramites, and they smote him, and took of his [a]many prisoners, and brought them to Damascus: and he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, which smote him with a great slaughter.

For [b]Pekah the son of Remaliah slew in Judah sixscore thousand in one day, all [c]valiant men, because they had forsaken the Lord God of their fathers.

Therefore the Lord his God delivered him into the hands of the king of Aram.(A) The Arameans defeated him and took many of his people as prisoners and brought them to Damascus.

He was also given into the hands of the king of Israel, who inflicted heavy casualties on him. In one day Pekah(B) son of Remaliah killed a hundred and twenty thousand soldiers in Judah(C)—because Judah had forsaken the Lord, the God of their ancestors.
