Uzziah Succeeds in War
6 Now he went out and (A)warred against the Philistines, and broke down the wall of Gath and the wall of Jabneh and the wall of Ashdod; and he built cities in the area of Ashdod and among the Philistines. 7 (B)God helped him against the Philistines, and against the Arabians who lived in Gur-baal, and the Meunites. 8 The Ammonites also gave (C)tribute to Uzziah, and his [a]fame extended to the border of Egypt, for he became very strong.

New International Version
6 He went to war against the Philistines(A) and broke down the walls of Gath, Jabneh and Ashdod.(B) He then rebuilt towns near Ashdod and elsewhere among the Philistines. 7 God helped him against the Philistines and against the Arabs(C) who lived in Gur Baal and against the Meunites.(D) 8 The Ammonites(E) brought tribute to Uzziah, and his fame spread as far as the border of Egypt, because he had become very powerful.
