6 For he went forth and fought against the Philistines and brake down the wall of Gath, and the wall of Jabneh, and the wall of Ashdod, and built cities in Ashdod, and among the Philistines.
7 And God helped him against the Philistines, and against the Arabians that dwelt in Gur Baal and Hammeunim.
8 And the Ammonites gave [a]gifts to Uzziah, and his name spread to the entering in of Egypt: for he did most valiantly.

New International Version
6 He went to war against the Philistines(A) and broke down the walls of Gath, Jabneh and Ashdod.(B) He then rebuilt towns near Ashdod and elsewhere among the Philistines. 7 God helped him against the Philistines and against the Arabs(C) who lived in Gur Baal and against the Meunites.(D) 8 The Ammonites(E) brought tribute to Uzziah, and his fame spread as far as the border of Egypt, because he had become very powerful.
