2 Chronicles 13:3-5
Living Bible
3 Judah, led by King Abijah, fielded 400,000 seasoned warriors against twice as many Israeli troops—strong, courageous men led by King Jeroboam. 4 When the army of Judah arrived at Mount Zemaraim, in the hill country of Ephraim, King Abijah shouted to King Jeroboam and the Israeli army:
5 “Listen! Don’t you realize that the Lord God of Israel swore that David’s descendants would always be the kings of Israel?

New International Version
3 Abijah went into battle with an army of four hundred thousand able fighting men, and Jeroboam drew up a battle line against him with eight hundred thousand able troops.
4 Abijah stood on Mount Zemaraim,(A) in the hill country of Ephraim, and said, “Jeroboam and all Israel,(B) listen to me! 5 Don’t you know that the Lord, the God of Israel, has given the kingship of Israel to David and his descendants forever(C) by a covenant of salt?(D)
