⁷ As it is, to have legal disputes against one another is already a defeat for you.^(A) Why not rather be wronged?^(B) Why not rather be cheated?^{(C) 8} Instead, you yourselves do wrong and cheat—and you do this to brothers and sisters!

⁵ and constant disagreement among people whose minds are depraved and deprived of the truth, who imagine that godliness is a way to material gain.^[a](A)
