²⁷ They would spend the night stationed around the temple of God because they were responsible for it, and then they would open it each morning.

²⁸ Some of them were responsible for the vessels used in the liturgy, and they would count them when they were brought in and taken out. ²⁹ Others were assigned responsibility for the furniture and all of the other things used in the sanctuary as well as the flour, wine, oil, incense, and spices.
