1 Timothy 5:21-23
New English Translation
21 Before God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels, I solemnly charge you to carry out these commands without prejudice or favoritism of any kind.[a] 22 Do not lay hands on anyone[b] hastily and so identify with the sins of others.[c] Keep yourself pure. 23 (Stop drinking just water, but use a little wine for your digestion[d] and your frequent illnesses.)[e]

21 I charge you, in the sight of God and Christ Jesus(A) and the elect angels, to keep these instructions without partiality, and to do nothing out of favoritism.
22 Do not be hasty in the laying on of hands,(B) and do not share in the sins of others.(C) Keep yourself pure.(D)
23 Stop drinking only water, and use a little wine(E) because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses.
