1 Timothy 5:18-20

¹⁸For the scripture says, “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain,”^[a] and, “The worker deserves his pay.”^[b] ¹⁹Do not accept an accusation against an elder unless it can be confirmed by two or three witnesses.^[c] ²⁰Those guilty of sin^[d] must be rebuked^[e] before all,^[f] as a warning to the rest.^[g]

¹⁸For Scripture says, “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain,”^[a]^(A) and “The worker deserves his wages.”^[b]^(B) ¹⁹Do not entertain an accusation against an elder^(C) unless it is brought by two or three witnesses.^(D) ²⁰But those elders who are sinning you are to reprove^(E) before everyone, so that the others may take warning.^(F)
