1 Timothy 5:18-20

¹⁸For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle the ox that treads out the grain,”^[a] and, “The laborer is worthy of his reward.”^[b] ¹⁹Do not receive an accusation against an elder, except before two or three witnesses. ²⁰Rebuke in the presence of everyone those who sin, that the rest also may fear.

¹⁸For Scripture says, “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain,”^[a]^(A) and “The worker deserves his wages.”^[b]^(B) ¹⁹Do not entertain an accusation against an elder^(C) unless it is brought by two or three witnesses.^(D) ²⁰But those elders who are sinning you are to reprove^(E) before everyone, so that the others may take warning.^(F)
