The Voice
6 Don’t violate or take advantage of a fellow believer in such matters. As we told you before and warned you: the Lord will settle the score with anyone who does these things. 7 Here’s why: God does not call us to live impure, adulterous, scandalous lives, but to seek holiness and purity. 8 If you ignore this message, then you’re not only rejecting us but you’re rejecting God, the One who has given His Holy Spirit to live in you.

New International Version
6 and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister.[a](A) The Lord will punish(B) all those who commit such sins,(C) as we told you and warned you before. 7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.(D) 8 Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit.(E)
