8 With such affection for you, we were determined to share with you not only the gospel of God, but our very selves as well, so dearly beloved had you become to us. 9 You recall, brothers, our toil and drudgery. Working night and day in order not to burden any of you, we proclaimed to you the gospel of God.(A) 10 You are witnesses, and so is God, how devoutly and justly and blamelessly we behaved toward you believers.

8 so we cared for you. Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God(A) but our lives as well.(B) 9 Surely you remember, brothers and sisters, our toil and hardship; we worked(C) night and day in order not to be a burden to anyone(D) while we preached the gospel of God to you. 10 You are witnesses,(E) and so is God,(F) of how holy,(G) righteous and blameless we were among you who believed.
