5 For we never came with a flattering word, as you know, nor with (A)a pretext for greed—(B)God is witness— 6 nor (C)seeking glory from men, either from you or from others, even though as (D)apostles of Christ we [a]could have been a burden to you. 7 But we [b]proved to be [c](E)gentle [d]among you, (F)as a nursing mother [e]tenderly cares for her own children.
