²Then the Philistines followed hard after Saul and his sons. And the Philistines killed ^(A)Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchishua, Saul’s sons.

²The Philistines were in hot pursuit of Saul and his sons,^(A) and they killed his sons Jonathan,^(B) Abinadab and Malki-Shua.^(C)

³³^(A)Ner^[a] begot Kish, Kish begot Saul, and Saul begot Jonathan, Malchishua, ^[b]Abinadab, and ^[c]Esh-Baal.

³³Ner^(A) was the father of Kish,^(B) Kish the father of Saul^(C), and Saul the father of Jonathan, Malki-Shua, Abinadab and Esh-Baal.^[a]^(D)
