New International Version

⁶He inquired^(A) of the Lord, but the Lord did not answer him by dreams^(B) or Urim^(C) or prophets.^(D)

⁶And when Saul enquired of the Lord, the Lord answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.

²⁸Then they will call me, but I won’t answer;
they will search for me, but won’t find me.^(A)

²⁸“Then they will call to me but I will not answer;^(A)
they will look for me but will not find me,^(B)

²⁸Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
