19 She then said to her servants, “Go on ahead, I will follow you.” But she did not tell this to her husband.
20 As she was riding along on the donkey, she went down into a mountain ravine, and there was David and his men coming down the other side, and she met them. 21 David had been saying, “Surely it was in vain that I watched over all of his things in the wilderness so that nothing that he owned went missing. He has paid me back evil for good.

20 As she came riding her donkey into a mountain ravine, there were David and his men descending toward her, and she met them. 21 David had just said, “It’s been useless—all my watching over this fellow’s property in the wilderness so that nothing of his was missing.(C) He has paid(D) me back evil(E) for good.
