1 Samuel 2:9-11

9 He guards the steps[a] of His faithful ones,(A)
but the wicked perish in darkness,(B)
for a man does not prevail by his own strength.(C)
10 Those who oppose the Lord will be shattered;[b](D)
He will thunder in the heavens against them.(E)
The Lord will judge the ends of the earth.(F)
He will give power to His king;
He will lift up the horn of His anointed.(G)
11 Elkanah went home to Ramah,(H) but the boy served the Lord in the presence of Eli the priest.(I)

New International Version
9 He will guard the feet(A) of his faithful servants,(B)
but the wicked will be silenced in the place of darkness.(C)
“It is not by strength(D) that one prevails;
10 those who oppose the Lord will be broken.(E)
The Most High will thunder(F) from heaven;
the Lord will judge(G) the ends of the earth.
11 Then Elkanah went home to Ramah,(J) but the boy ministered(K) before the Lord under Eli the priest.

9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.
10 The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the Lord shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.
11 And Elkanah went to Ramah to his house. And the child did minister unto the Lord before Eli the priest.
