20 Then Eli would (A)bless Elkanah and his wife and say, “May the Lord give you [a]children from this woman in place of [b]the one she (B)dedicated to the Lord.” And they went to their own [c]home.
21 (C)The Lord visited Hannah; and she conceived and gave birth to three sons and two daughters. And (D)the boy Samuel grew before the Lord.
Eli Rebukes His Sons
22 Now Eli was very old; and he heard (E)all that his sons were doing to all Israel, and how they lay with (F)the women who served at the doorway of the tent of meeting.

New International Version
20 Eli would bless Elkanah and his wife, saying, “May the Lord give you children by this woman to take the place of the one she prayed(A) for and gave to[a] the Lord.” Then they would go home. 21 And the Lord was gracious to Hannah;(B) she gave birth to three sons and two daughters. Meanwhile, the boy Samuel grew(C) up in the presence of the Lord.
22 Now Eli, who was very old, heard about everything(D) his sons were doing to all Israel and how they slept with the women(E) who served at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
