1 Samuel 16:22-23

22 Then Saul sent word to Jesse, saying, “Please let David stand before me, because he has found favor in my sight.”[a] 23 So whenever the evil spirit from God came to Saul, David would take the stringed instrument and play it with his hand. Then it would bring relief[b] for Saul; he would feel better[c] and the evil spirit would depart from him.

22 Then Saul sent word to Jesse, saying, “Allow David to remain in my service, for I am pleased with him.”
23 Whenever the spirit from God came on Saul, David would take up his lyre and play. Then relief would come to Saul; he would feel better, and the evil spirit(A) would leave him.
